Qi Blends – Post-Trauma Blend

Category: Product ID: 16

Product Description

Description & Explanation

Traumatic injury or wounds in Chinese medicine are said to create blood stasis. This means that the blood is static and stuck – it isn’t flowing through the acupuncture meridians as it should. This concept of “blood” isn’t the same as the blood we think of in Western medicine. Rather, it is a vital substance necessary to nourish the body. Chinese medicine treats injuries from an accident (such as being hit by a car or a dog fight) with specific blood-moving herbs that promote healing.

In addition to the blood becoming static, the flow of Qi (or vital energy) is also disrupted when there is an injury, which leads to Qi stagnation.

The Kidney in Chinese medicine is not the same as the western medicine kidney. In Western medicine, an organ is simply an anatomical structure. In Chinese medicine, the concept of each Internal Organ encompasses much more. There can be an anatomical structure, but there is also a corresponding emotion, tissue, sensory organ, and element. In the case of the Chinese Kidney, the corresponding tissue is bone. Therefore, herbs which invigorate Kidney yang are used for the healing of tendons and bones.

Post-Trauma Blend is formulated to strengthen Kidney yang, allow the Qi and blood to flow smoothly, and reduce the level of overall pain. This is the most effective way to heal injuries quickly.

The Chinese medicine treatment principles of the blend are to –
• Alleviate Pain
• Invigorate the Blood
• Move the Qi
• Invigorate Yang, Strengthen Tendons and Bones
• Promote regeneration of Damaged Tissues
• Calm the Spirit

Herbs to Calm the Spirit are included in the blend to address the stress and emotional after-effects of a traumatic incident.

Ingredients

Post-Trauma Blend is made with these highest quality ingredients –

Xu Duan (Radix Dipsaci), Gu Sui Bu (Rhizoma Drynariae), San Qi (Radix Pseudoginseng), Qi Ye Lian (Radix Schefflera Arboricola), Ru Xiang (Resina Olibani), Mo Yao (Resina Myrrhae), Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis), Dan Shen (Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae), Yan Hu Suo (Rhizoma Corydalis Yanhusuo), Ye Jiao Teng (Caulis Polygoni Multiflori), Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae) in a base of pure vegetable glycerine, water, and organic alcohol (total alcohol content less than 4%).

Directions & Dosage

Treatment Course – As a general rule, the longer a dog has suffered with a health problem the longer it takes to resolve. Some conditions heal within a week or two. Others require longer treatment. If treatment is given for more than two weeks, we recommend treating for 8 days on and two days off.

Mix blend into food. Refrigerate when open.

Because of the sweet flavor of the glycerine in our blends, most dogs enjoy the taste. Some dogs may need the herbs to be mixed into wet food.

Dosage

1-25 pound dogs – 10-15 drops, 2-3x/day
26-60 pound dogs – 20-40 drops, 2-3x/day
61 pounds and up – 1-2 dropperfuls, 2-3x/day

A squeeze of the dropper bulb fills it about halfway up. This is considered a “dropperful.”
One dropper is approximately 45 drops.
